Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC)

Enjoy the benefits of being a member of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) by taking advantage of our member’s first initiative. IPAC International Programs invites you to submit an article for the 2012 international edition of our Public Sector Management magazine.

With a circulation of over three thousand, Public Sector Management magazine has a broad readership in Canada and around the world. Our readers come from all orders of government, universities, colleges and organizations interested in public administration.

The international edition of Public Sector Management keeps readers informed of the latest developments in IPAC’s international programs and democratic governance worldwide. It fosters ideas and discussion on topical issues related to public management and policy and provides our members with news about IPAC. This magazine is published four times annually and is available online.

The articles submitted for this publication must be an unpublished work, not submitted for publication or pending publication elsewhere.

The themes for the 2012 edition were chosen as they feature prominently in IPAC’s strategic plan, the most recent results of IPAC’s Deputy Minister/Chief Administrative Officer and Value Proposition surveys, international priorities from our development partners such as, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Department for International Development (DFID), the World Bank, and other leading international organizations such as, the United Nations, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, etc.

The themes are as follows:

  • Environmental Sustainability (e.g. disaster risk reduction, water, food security, etc.)
  • Sustainable Economic Policy (e.g. finance, innovation, restoring public trust, job creation, etc.)
  • Governance (e.g. accountability, transparency, long-term vs. short-term planning, etc.)
  • Gender Equity
