May 31  - June 5, 2015.

Marriott Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida, USA.

Improving public governance is a goal of countries around the world. Demand for more responsiveness, greater accountability, and increased transparency is coming from citizens and financial markets. Sound PFM is a cornerstone of almost all aspects of governance and ICGFM will explore the role of PFM in meeting this demand and present specific examples of Governments meeting this challenge.

ICGFM solicits proposals for speakers/panels/papers that address the relationship between PFM and public governance for its upcoming International Training Conference to be held at the Marriott Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida.

Deadline for submitting proposals for the Miami conference:  March 1, 2015.

Presenters from the public and non-profit sector may be awarded a stipend that can be used toward the cost of travel and hotel expenses and given an opportunity to publish their case studies in the ICGFM Journal.

Key subjects of the conference theme include:

  • The relationship between PFM and improved public governance.
  • PFM practices that result in greater responsiveness to the needs of citizens.
  • The role of technology in improving the elements of good governance.
  • Methods of accountability utilizing sound PFM.
  • Addressing the human resources aspect of improving governance.
  • Country case studies.
