The conference brings together leading experts on public management with goals of defining public management problems, considering solutions to these problems and generating insight regarding worldwide management challenges on the horizon. The process for generating discussion is afforded through intensive working groups of less than a dozen scholars each who prepare papers around the various topics relevant to the conference theme.  This year’s theme sets the stage for intriguing yet demanding sessions in which participants will grapple with issues related to the changing methods and contexts for conducting public sector financial management while regarding transparency, accountability, performance and human capital across dramatically fluctuating economic times and in a variety of governmental contexts.
